The location of Java Croft will be circled in red on the map.

If you are driving...

From Portree take the A87 to Uig and the Western Isles Ferry. Continue for 13 miles (20 kilometres) until you see a left turn, signed to Earlish. You will see a sign for Mr and Mrs Pritchard B&B at this corner.

Take the left turn and proceed down the lane until you come to a small crossroads. Here you will see a sign pointing right for our B&B. Turn right and proceed for about 100 yards (100 metres). The B&B is the first house on the right. There is ample parking along the left hand side of the driveway.

If you are coming off the Western Isles Ferry at Uig, follow the traffic off the ferry along the A87 (signposted Portree) through the village of Uig and then look out for the sign for Earlish on the right. Then continue as above.

If you are on foot...

Both Citylink and Rapsons buses pass the Earlish road end. Citylink buses run from Glasgow, Inverness, Fort William, Kyle, with connections from all parts of Scotland.  Rapsons run a local service around the Trotternish peninsula in both directions, starting and finishing in Portree. They also run connections from Kyle to Portree.

If you are coming off the Western Isles ferry at Uig we may be able to collect you, or if you are going on the ferry in the morning we may be able to take you down to the pier. Please ask when booking.

The nearest train stations are Kyle of Lochalsh and Mallaig. (See Scotrail site for timetables). From Kyle you can get a Citylink or Highland bus to Uig (changing at Portree if necessary). From Mallaig you can get the ferry to Armadale and then a Rapsons bus to Portree. Bus times on this route change frequently; contact Portree Tourist Office (01478-612137) for latest information.

Bike hire is available from Skye Bicycle Hire at Uig (01470-542316). The nearest Car Hire is at Portree (Ewen MacRae, 01478-612554)
